CLE: Expungements and Crimmigration

Proposed Topics: The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office will provide an overview of their new state-wide expungement program and how it differs from traditional expungement programs. Learn which crimes fall within the expungement statute and who retains access to expunged records. Panelists will also discuss what is a conviction for immigration purposes, how that relates to expungements, and how you can use the possibility of expungements and immigration consequences to negotiate helpful resolutions for your immigrant clients.
